All the feelings and the results of the 3 days spent at the Circuit in Misano with LCR Honda and Clinica Mobile

All the feelings and the results of the 3 days spent at the Circuit in Misano with LCR Honda and Clinica Mobile

Despite rain, fresh temperatures and important absences (as the one of the injured Valentino Rossi), the Misano World Circuit entitled to “Marco Simoncelli” was crowded during the 3 days of the MotoGP™ Gran Prix.
In its 45th year, the Circuit hosted 158,263 spectators, brushing the record reached last year (158,396 people).

3 days of Custom Experience

Custom lived this Gran Prix as a protagonist, being Event Title sponsor and  Major Sponsor of the LCR Honda Team, and that’s the reason why it organized 3 days of Custom Experience dedicated to the 200 guests of LCR Honda’s Hospitality.

Thanks to the cooperation with LCR Honda Team and Clinica Mobile, we offered many exclusive activities, to let our guests know better the world of a MotoGP™ Gran Prix: the guided tours in the Paddock, the visit in the Boxes, the tours all around the circuit with the MotoGP Shuttle, the afternoon spent among questions and autographs with our rider Cal Crutchlow, the breaks with Lucio Cecchinello and the Team’s staff, the go-kart race with the Custom Trophy, the pictures with the Custom Girls…

Many moments filled the weekend for our guests, offering them an experience that we hope they found really unforgettable.

The Custom Experience and the results during the 3 days of the #SanMarinoGP with LCR Honda and Cal Crutchlow

The initiative was part of an integrated communication strategy, that allowed a direct visibility with the spectators of the MotoGP™, but especially an indirect one thanks to the use of the social networks, which “disseminated” In the best way possible the Custom brand and some specific products related to the Consumer division.

The Group, leader in different and complex vertical markets, has recently launched a challenge to the consumer electronics market; today, CUSTOM is a good alternative to the big international brands. Thanks to a direct approach to the customer: from the manufacturing plants to the end user, allowing a privileged relationship, a fluid and transparent dialogue in addition to products that have a high quality and competitive prices. A key asset: being different from the main players with smart products, Italian design, modern and cool style, competitive prices and naturally a project and manufacturing quality that has always characterized the business of the Parmesan multinational corporation in the fields where it is already a leader.

That’s why the sponsorship is a real integrated communication tool able to present and let people “touch” the latest news of the B2C division, such as – in example – the super cherished Mini Mirror, the pop-designed powerbank. After the great success of the Mirror, the Consumer division launches another product dedicated to women, a trendy gadget able to satisfy the need of being “hi-tech trendy and fashion”.
A powerbank that is able to prove itself and in the mean time a mirror for handbag with a unique design. Six different colored patterns; three “comics” styles and three “animalier” patterns, chosen by following the actual trends. The device, trendy and refined, also has strip-led lights, so that it can be easily used in any moments.

An audience both direct and indirect: here below the total results registered on the social networks and on the racetrack!

  • 23.000 people reached >> people totally reached on Facebook and Instagram during the 3 days of the Custom Experience
  • 60.000 visualizations >> total amount of the visualizations of the contents linked to Custom’s social pages during the 3 days of the Custom Experience

Among the several activities, the attention was always focused on the racetrack, and on our rider Cal Cruchtlow. After the excellent results in the free practices and qualifying, got despite the injury at the finger, we lived a really complicated race. But the crash in the rain did not stop the British rider, who finally crossed the finish line at the 13th place and got 3 points. All without any footrest and with the bent left handlebar!

Free Practice

8th September 2017

#35 Cal Crutchlow – 6th (1’33.545)

“I was very unfortunate to crash this afternoon, I went out on the hard front tyre just as Marc Marquez had come back in to report that it wasn’t the ideal tyre for the moment, and that’s when I went down straight away. It was a little disappointing because we have had good pace all day considering my finger problems. I felt good and had the rhythm straight off this morning. We were making good steps forward with the bike and we were able to put in some very good times with old tyres. As regards the finger, well it’s still attached, which is a good thing! Seriously though, it’s no real problem although it is very uncomfortable because I can’t hold the handlebar with it properly, but I’m not feeling any pain.”

Qualifying

9th September 2017

#35 Cal Crutchlow – 4th (1’32.768)

“We’re obviously happy with the qualifying session, I’d wanted to be on the front row, but today it wasn’t possible. That’s something to try for again in the next races, but for now I’m happy with fourth place. I think we’ve done a good job as a team all weekend so far, the crew have worked very hard for me. It hasn’t been an easy run-up to this grand prix, so to be in good shape for Sunday’s race has been difficult. However, I feel we’ve got the pace to be there, maybe not to win, but perhaps we can aim for the podium. Top five I would be happy, but I have to look towards the rostrum.

The finger is feeling better. There’s no pain when I’m on the bike, but it’s really uncomfortable and it’s going to be like that for a month. I can’t keep my finger on the handlebar so it’s not the best situation. I have to compensate with my other arm and different parts of my body, so it doesn’t feel natural. We’ll work on it with the team and the doctors to try and improve the situation for Aragon.”

Race

10th September 2017

#35 Cal Crutchlow – 13th

“I felt really good, I felt comfortable and confident. I knew after ten laps that I could probably start pushing, I didn’t want to take too many risks early and I ended up flying as high as I have in a long time. It was my own mistake, no fault of anyone else. I wanted Jack and the rest behind me, but as soon as I passed him I crashed. I was confident that I could come back across the gap to Dovizioso and maybe even Marquez at that time, but I just pushed too hard and crashed out.

“I got back on though, and got some points. It was a difficult, long race with the handlebar touching the tank and no footrest! I did what I had to do, but I’m sorry to the LCR Honda team because we could have had a good result today. I don’t know if we would have won the race, but I think we could have definitely been with Dovi. In the condition I’m in we’ve done well all weekend, I’ve felt good all the way through and we can take those positives away from here. We were fast in both wet and dry, but I made a mistake in the race and that’s what cost me.”
